Guys, it took me over 2 weeks to reread Order of the Phoenix and just 3 days to reread Half-Blood Prince 😂 I actually regretted finishing it so fast and went back to skim some of my favorite parts again afterward. Hard to believe that STILL after however many times I’ve read the series I don’t want it to end.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve been a Harry Potter fan since 1999, attended nearly all the midnight book releases & movie premieres, and generally was obsessed and would spend hours reading fan theories on dedicated Harry Potter websites (MuggleNet, anyone?) and getting a wand, an owl, being sorted, etc. on the original HP website by Warner Bros (RIP). I’ll forever miss that kind of excitement and obsession that Harry Potter generated, and that’s one of the reasons I keep coming back to it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Half-Blood Prince has always been my favorite and this time was no different. Despite the number of times I’ve read it I still managed to notice something I’m not sure I ever noticed before. Early in the book, Dumbledore tells Harry not to worry about being attacked because, “You are with me.” Toward the end, Harry tells Dumbledore not to worry, to which Dumbledore responds, “I am not worried, Harry. I am with you.” 😭😭😭 This series, and JK Rowling’s attention to the details of the world and characters she created will always blow my mind. ❤️

What’s your favorite Harry Potter book?? ⚡️💕

Thank you to @tlcbooktours @williammorrowbooks @susanbgloss for this lovely copy of #TheCuriosities !
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The Curiosities is a charming mid-western story of artists, inspiration, and how to reinvent your life with purpose and flair.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Nell Parker has a PhD in Art History, a loving husband named Josh, and a Craftsman bungalow in Madison, WI. But after her last pregnancy ended late in the second trimester, rather than pausing to grieve, she pushes harder for testing and fertility treatments. Urging Nell to apply for jobs, Josh believes she needs something else to focus on.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Nell struggles to find a job until she sees an ad seeking a director for a new nonprofit, the Mansion Hill Artists’ Colony. The colony is the brainchild of the late, unconventional society dame Betsy Barrett, who left behind a fortune and a modern art collection to establish an artist-in-residency program at her lakeside mansion. The executor of Betsy’s estate hands Nell a set of keys and wishes her luck, leaving her to manage the mansion and the eccentric personalities of the artists who live there.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Soon one of the artists, a young metal sculptor named Odin, is keeping the other residents awake with his late-night welding projects. Nell is pretty sure that Annie, a dreadlocked granny known for her avant garde performance pieces, is dealing drugs out of the basement “studio.” Meanwhile Paige, an art student from the university, takes up residence in the third-floor turret, experimenting with new printing and design techniques, as well as leading a string of bad boyfriends upstairs when she stumbles home at night.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Despite the drama, Nell finds something akin to a family among the members of the community she’s brought together. And when her attraction to Odin heats up, Nell is forced to decide what will bring her greater joy—the creative, inspired world she’s created, or the familiar but increasingly fragile one of her marriage.

Happy pub day to The Last Romantics!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Thanks so much to @williammorrowbooks @taraconklinauthor and @tlcbooktours for my copy! #TheLastRomantics
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For fans of Commonwealth and The Interestings, The Last Romantics explores the lives of four siblings and the bonds between them. It’s a powerful exploration of the ties that bind us together, the responsibilities we embrace and the duties we resent, and how we can lose—and sometimes rescue—the ones we love. It is also a beautiful meditation on the power of stories—how they navigate us through difficult times, help us understand the past, and point the way toward our future.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When the renowned poet Fiona Skinner is asked about the inspiration behind her iconic work, The Love Poem, she tells her audience a story about her family and a betrayal that reverberates through time.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It begins in a big yellow house with a funeral, an iron poker, and a brief variation forever known as the Pause: a free and feral summer in a middle-class Connecticut town. Caught between the predictable life they once led and an uncertain future that stretches before them, the Skinner siblings—fierce Renee, sensitive Caroline, golden boy Joe and watchful Fiona—emerge from the Pause staunchly loyal and deeply connected. Two decades later, the siblings find themselves once again confronted with a family crisis that tests the strength of these bonds and forces them to question the life choices they’ve made and ask what, exactly, they will do for love.
